Princess Diana

Princess Diana

Diana, Princess of Wales was the first wife of Prince Charles and the mother to the two princes, William and Harry.
From the moment she started courting the Prince culminating in one of the most spectacular state weddings of our time, she became one of the most photographed and famous women in the world.

She was a very charismatic character and much loved by the British public and all whom she came in contact with. She was known to very much have a mind of her own, often ruffling the feathers at in the Royal Household with her unorthodox ways of doing things and her support for charities that were incredibly worthy but seen as controversial, such as AIDS, Leprosy and Landmines. She was known to many as ‘The Peoples Princess’, due to her down to earth compassionate nature and her stylish good looks that were every inch what the British public expected to see in their fairytale princess.

Before the glamorous red carpet lifestyle swept Diana Spencer away to marry the prince of Wales, her style defined the set we now know as the Sloane Ranger.
She was such an iconic figure throughout the ‘80s and 90s that many women rushed to copy her hairstyle and the looks she sported. Whether it was the pussy-bow ruffled blouses and tweed, or twinsets with pearls, or the country cashmere and hunter boots, or her elegant style of eveningwear, Lady Diana was a true British style icon of our time.
