Agyness Deyn

Agyness Deyn

Agyness Deyn – The Catwalk Punk:
Britain produces great catwalk models .FACT. Agyness Deyn is one of the most successful British models of the past decade. FACT. Agyness Deyn’s style is completely unique. FACT.

Born in Greater Manchester in the North of England, Deyn was reportedly discovered while shopping with her best friend, Henry Holland – who just happens to be a fashion designer. Since then she has starred in campaigns for Anna Sui, Blumarine and Giorgio Armani as well as being a particular favourite of British labels Burberry, Mulberry, Vivienne Westwood and Paul Smith. She has also graced the covers of industry heavyweights Vogue, Pop, V and iD as well as countless other international publications. But to her style...

Let’s be honest, it will not suit everyone. It’s a mash up of brights, body con dresses and punk. Top that off with the fact she changes the colour of her hair at the drop of her bowler hat and you have quite a look. But it’s a look that working for her.

Statement t-shirts with skinny jeans and heavy boots. Flashes of florescent. Union Jack details. Leather accessories. Switching it up with ladylike finesse in the evening. She’s the prettiest punk you’ve ever seen with an “anything goes” aesthetic that embraces the basic rules and then brightens them up. As with a lot of fashion, it can be a little hit and miss but when it works you get a cool, carefree club kid look that is so London.
